I've heard more than one person say this. The theory being that Omicron is such a milder version of it, that it'll be like the flu. You could get the flu shot and still catch it, because there are new variants. But in most cases it'll just knock you out for a few days. So, covid going forward could be like that as well. If you get your shot, you might not catch it, or it'll only hit you for a few days and not be life threatening.

Yes, if Omicron provides significant immunity against itself and future variants, we'll be out of this with only yearly boosters like against the flu.

But notice the IF in my statements. We don't have any data on omicron reinfection yet as the definition for reinfection applies 90 days after the first infection.

This is exactly the way this is going to play out.

Omicron will displace the other Covid viruses before it and in due time everyone will be infected.

Very few people will die from it but it will give mass natural immunity to the world.

It will be cyclical just like the flu strains we have come to live with.

Now the alarmists will continue to do their thing but the rest of us realize that we are just going to have to live with this and life will go on.

There won’t be yearly boosters for Covid. It will all wrap up in a flu shot which only 30% of the population ever take.

I’ve never had to flu. What’s funny about all the folks going crazy of schools opening and safety of children. The flu kills thousand of kids every year, consistently and continues to do so and no one seems to care about the flu.

It goes to show the power of the media and the weakness of some peoples minds.

And in case you haven't been aware, the government spends plenty of money on buying and advertising flu shots every year.

The only thing now that’s different from 2 years ago is the ability to have a running dashboard of deaths to scare people like you. Millions of people die every day. We are only here for 80 years on a good day. Let’s start enjoying this beautiful planet instead of sitting watching Netflix and being mind controlled by media rags.
