Sept. 20 (Bloomberg) -- A federal judge in California overturned the Bush administration's decision to replace rules that had protected 58 million acres of U.S. forest land from logging.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Laport granted California's request to reinstate a rule that restricts logging and building in U.S. forest land and said the government must conduct a review on how the rule change may affect the environment. The judge exempted forest land in Alaska from her ruling.
