Go gaga for B---I---G breakfasts. Sunset Grill on Queen St. E. was local legend, but unfortunately, no more. Where's the next best steak n' eggs joint in the city?

I second the Master Steaks recommendation. The small steak (5 or 6 0z. ?) with eggs, hashbrowns, toast and usually some form of sliced fruit(orange/pineapple) for $5.99 has got to be the best value in T.O

I like the steak and eggs at T-Bones on Lawrence E just east of Midland.

I think T Bones is on Eglinton just east of Midland.

If you ever go out to Oshawa Diamond's Grill Simcoe and Bond and The Rainbow (no not a gay bar) just around the corner are both good.

I've never been to any of the places in the poll though.

I didn't know the Sunset Grill was no longer open, it was always there and I guess I took it for granted.

Auntie's and Uncles have tons of their own tasty spins on steak n' eggs. One of my fav's is a thinly sliced steak with scambled eggs, melted cheese and mushrooms inside a panini style bread. Cheese, potato hash served on the side is a killer as well. This place is to the westend, what Sunset is to the east.

I went to the Sunset Grill on Bloor near high park and the breakfast was amazing!

If U like this type of food, try the Waffle House -big chain- in the US.
Real fresh, made in front of you, eggs really taste good....
But the Canadian advice above is taken, may try in TO

Why is the Tulip not on this poll?

I love the steak & eggs at The Tulip.

I totally agree. The Tulip hands down has the best steak & eggs in the City, or at least the east end. They have the thickest cuts of steak, which makes it the juiciest.

I have also eaten at Denny's, Cora's, Sunset, T-bones, Markham Station, Toast, Bonjour brioche and many many other places. They all have great breakfasts, but I will only get Steak & Eggs on the Tulip.

Nothing better to sooth a nasty saturday night hangover than a big sunday morning breakfast. Sizzling steak, eggs over easy, crispy home-fries, freshly whipped butter melting over crunchy toast, cup of pipping hot coffee, tall glass of o-j etc. Never been, but wimpy's seems to have a yummy menu. Anybody try their steak and eggs?
