Hello Terbites,
I'm coming up next weekend for six days and thought a little blackjack might be fun. Can you help me in locating a casino close to T.O. that offers blackjack.
I did some surfing and saw Casino Rama, the Great Blue Heron and Casino Niagra.
It appears that the Great Blue Heron is closest.
What I am also wondering is what are the house rules at these casinos? Do they charge "juice" per hand? What is the payout for BJ, 3to2?
From what I have read on the web the Niagra casino seems to be favored but I am not excited about the prospect of driving that far.
Any info on distances to the casinos and on anything elsoe you want to share is appreciated.
Jocko

jocko - no juice - 3 to 2 blackjack
the rules at all of those places are the same
don't bother going to Niagara just for the casino
Great Blue Heron is about an hour from downtown Toronto (just northeast of Port Perry), plus traffic time, Rama is well over 90 minutes (in Orillia), plus traffic time.
They're all open 24 hours.
Blue Heron is a very small place, with about six or eight tables. Rama has about twice as many tables, and Niagara more than that.
Any other questions? :)

Dear Ranger68 and Mr. Sheik,
Thanks for the info. I am driving down from Maine so will probably stop at the Blue Heron on my way for a few hours.
Anybody feel like backjack next Saturday?

No, does anyone else? ;)
Just thought I'd ask. I don't know anyone in T.O. and having another player at the table espcecially if they know how to play is more enjoyable IMO.

Thanks spinnerbait. How's a guy supposed to make any money with a $100 limit?
But seriously, I am more of a $10 per bet player to start and a $100 bet would be a rare occurence unless I was on a roll.

Hey Jocko, if you're coming in to Toronto on the 401 west, there's a new casino near Kingston that's just off the 401.

http://www.gananoque.com/casino/

You can't miss it.

I still like Casino Niagara, and of course you can also visit Seductions on Lundy's Lane while you're there.
