Canadian Cassandra Brown is the three-point-shooting champion of the NCAA. Full stop. Not just in the women's category, but in all of college basketball.

The Vernon, B.C.-born guard from the University of Portland beat all female challengers in the NCAA's three-point-shooting contest on Thursday. Then, to test her mettle, organizers put the 22-year-old up against men's champion, Kevin Pangos, a Gonzaga star from Holland Landing, Ont.

And she beat him, too.

Brown drained nine straight baskets and 21 overall from outside the three-point arch to edge Pangos, who fell short with 20 successful shots in the one-minute contest.
