BERTUZZI COVETS TORONTO
Todd Bertuzzi loves the weather in Florida, but he's always had a hankering to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs. And when he's an unrestricted free agent July 1, and as long as his back surgery is a success, that's where he'll want to relocate. And he'll take a discount to play there. He played junior in Guelph, just down the road from Toronto, and grew up a Leafs fan, although he might not get a resounding vote of confidence from Panthers teammate Gary Roberts, who wasn't re-signed there.

Why not? Isn't the point of signing players to upgrade your team? If nothing else is out there and the contract is right I'd sign him. He'd improve the team. Thats fair.......... Your 100% correct, but do you think JFJ is looking at rebuilding? Thats not what he was brought in to do and if he makes those types of moves then he's gonna lose his job. If the Leafs fire him then yes, don't sign Bertuzzi, if they still want to try this "all we need to do is get into the playoffs and anything can happen" approach then sign Bertuzzi. Also do you think Leafs fans are patient enough to wait 5 years to rebuild?
