Yup, Hollywood hasn't had enough of re-making classics into shitty action pieces. So is Sound of Music next with Anna Kendrick? Then again, there was a shitty TV special of Sound of Music.

The 1959 classic with Charlton Heston was a remake, but, I do understand where you are coming from.

If ever there was a film that didn't need a 're-imagining', it's William Wyler's great 'Ben Hur'. I mean, even Heston's awful acting (he got his only Oscar!) couldn't ruin it.

It's still thoroughly watchable! The music less chariot race sequence will always be a heart stopper.
