Right here. But wish I was there!
Bell is about to put its hand in our pockets again.

BCE CEO Michael Sabia was quoted this week as he outlined upcoming rate increases.

Sympatico High Speed rates to increase by $2/month

Bell ExpressVu to increase monthly access fee from $2.99 to $5.99 this spring. (That's after raising the basic package cost from $25.00 to $27.00 in December. With the increase in the access fee, that will be a 17% increase on the entry level price in just a few short months)

Long distance network charge to move to $4.50/month from the present $2.95, a 52% increase. (This is the charge that bugs me the most. Bell charges you so you can become a long distance buyer of their long distance. That's akin to Canadian Tire charging a 'door fee' as you enter their store, even if you don't buy anything)

At least with long distance and DSL you have some choices and can send them a message by switching.
TV you don't really and you are in same boat as Robbers customers who also just had a nice increase.

Both Bell and Rogers are conveniently raising their rates in March so effectively there is not a distinctive price increase overall since they collude together quite nicely.
