Where was Belinda when Peter Mackay was making his off remark in the House of Commons?
- She was at the parlour having her nails clipped....

Why is daddy Frank able to save on his Enbridge gas bill?
- Because Belinda is already on heat......

What does Belinda do on Friday nights when she is not knitting?
- She is busy being MAN's best friend......

Why does Belinda have the hots for Tie Domi?
- He let's her play fetch with his stick.....

What is Belinda's favourite sex position?
- When she is penetrated from behind......

I've used this one before but its a good one. It is said that the only Conservative bone in Belinda's body was Peter McKays.

We should ask woolf if he thinks she got her job with daddies company thru ability or nepotism. Surely it must be on merit as she be a hi skule gredueat.

I actually think Belinda is a pretty capable woman who did a good job running Magna, and who would make a capable minister. I don't begrudge her her sexual proclivity. She's probably a slut. To me, that makes her a more honest women :)

We don't generally criticize male politicians for having enjoyed the privileges of their wealthy backgrounds (which is all but a few of them), nor do we get overly concerned when they sleep around.

I'd rather vote for a modern woman like Belinda who likes to fuck famous atheletes than some prissy frigid twit.

...but you are wasting your breath with this crowd. Which should be a surprise, given the subject matter of the board - objectifying women and wanting to keep them in their place is de rigueur....

It is an amazing double standard, but is it any surprise that many of these guys would find fault (read: be threatened) by a woman smarter, richer and with a healthier sex drive than they?

I don't begrudge her healthy sex drive, but there's no way I'd want a Magna executive as our Industry Minister or Prime Minister. The bias will make her unable to make decisions best for Canadians.
I agree that Peter needs to move on, but he was being teased about his dog and he made an unfortunate response.

Unfortunately, she hasn't. I just read a report that she's seeking an apology from MacKay in the house. Puleeeze! What is this, Grade 8?! If she had any idea of what being mature was she would have had the grace to ignore the whole thing. She already had her last say when she ditched him.

Here's another one:

Why was Belinda appointed as Minister of Human Resources by Paul Martin?
- Because Paul Martin found her at the HUMANe society

woooo hold on their homey what a sweeping statement, I have absolutely no problem with women being CEO's, leaders of countries or whatever they wanna be so dont try that sensitive male crap here, my objection to Belinda is she is an opportunistic daddy's little rich girl, didnt earn anything that wasnt given to her on a silver platter, for God's sake she only has a high school degree and in this day and age she wanted to become the leader of an advanced Western nation

I dunno, I just don't find her credible. My perception (not necessarily the reality) is that she's an opportunist.

John Major (former British PM) only had a high school diploma.

While nepotism obviously was the predominant factor in her rise to the top, one doesn't stay at the top for long without some substance.

Back in 1999, she was instrumental in the formation of the Canadian Alliance - her involvement in conservative politics was not an afterthought - nor was she a puppet of her father (who was/is a Liberal).

I found her decision to move to the Liberals disappointing as I thought she was an asset to the Tory caucus. But politics is politics and the voters endorsed her decision in the last election.

As for the demanding of an apology - that is just politics. Other politicians demand apologies for far lesser insults.

Any worse than a Canada Steamship Lines executive? Or how about a senior partner in a law firm? In general politicians are promoted to the position of industry minister or finance _because_ of their industry experience.

I'm generally in favour of her voting record in commons, I've actually read some of her speeches and they were reasonably on point. She was obviously groomed for the role of CEO of magna but she wasn't simply handed it (she worked her way up the organization, presumably with some help no doubt), and moreover, she was extremely effective as Magna CEO. Moreover again, she was instrumental in the formation of the Conservative party, and her departure from it was an enormous blow to the credibility of the party. Most people saw it as a signal that either Stephen Harper was too iron fisted to allow for any other bright light in his party, or a victory of the old guard Reformers to hijaack the new party and put it on a so-con footing which most Canadians oppose.

Again, if she weren't a pretty woman nobody would be complaining that she'd been handed her career by her rich father. Other politicians who inherited much wealth and influence from their families don't come in for this.

It's also not only because she's a woman--what seems to get you guys going is that she's a pretty woman, with femininity, and style. In your books pretty woman are not permitted to be successful; women are supposed to either be men-like battle axes like Margaret Thatcher, or playboy bunnies without a clue. Well, dinosaurs, welcome to the new millenium.

Just shows that the average age on terb is +50 or +60 or something.

...but so far in this thread you aren't the one making comments about her sex life, so perhaps I wasn't "speaking" to you.

I don't have a problem with those who don't care for her politics - I have aproblem with those who personally attack her for reasons that seem to be focused on her gender and sex life.

Besides, she isn't the first person to have benefited from being born into wealth (nor the first in politics to with the same profile), and while the CEO chair at Magna may have been her by destiny, my understanding is that she did a pretty good job while sitting in it.

Besides, since when did Canada become an "Advanced Western Nation"

I stand by what I posted, and have posted in the past - if she were an unattractive man of mondest means she wouldn't get all the slings and arrows no matter who she was fucking...

The problem with bimbos like Belinda is that they use their sexuality to advance their cause, and then, when it becomes a disadvantage in certain circumstances they cry foul.

Concerning the dog remark, the left found great delight in calling Tony Blair George W Bush's poodle - I did not hear any protestations in calling him a dog. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander or the other way round.

Can you cite say even a single example of Belinda using her sexuality to advance her cause? Doesn't strike me that she's ever done that. The dog remark will blow over, it was something the guy said on the spur of the moment. Your attitude won't--MacKay may have slipped up but you sat there and thought about your sexist post.
