If you ever speak to a phone scammer, after hanging up, check to make sure you have a dial tone before making any outgoing calls.
If you speak to the guy with an Indian accent who claims to be calling from Microsoft to tell you that you have errors on your computer, ask him to tell you the names of your operating system and Internet Service Provider. If he guesses those correctly, tell him you use a MAC.

The best was the call I received from a CRA scammer at close to 5 on a Friday a couple of weeks before X-Mas.
I was tempted to call them back and ask them if they honestly expected me to believe that a government employee would be making a call like that so close to quitting time on a Friday and starting legal proceedings a couple weeks before most government offices would be shutting down for the holidays.

Anytime I would get a call from the CRA and they left a message with their phone number, I would call back from another number and if they answered I would say, parlez- Vous Francis??. They hung up so fast!!!
So many different phone scams now.
First off, the number comes up with the same numbers (almost) as mine. You answer, there's always a delay and then a robovoice about:

Warrant for my arrest.
Social Insurance number has been compromised
Usually what I do is accept the call, but half the time they hang up the moment they hear my voice.
If they do engage in conversation, I will ask them what they want. Then I will say "hang on a minute"
Then I will come back and say, "sorry I was busy fucking your wife just then, what do you want again"
Now they know you're not fucking their wife, but he heard it. And I may get really graphic and tell him that he's not satisfying his wife in bed and she loves big cock, etc etc.
And if he hangs on I tell him "you know your wife hates your mother don't you" (which is probably really the case) and it will torque him right up.
