It is a great find. The point that there are fewer than 80 chukchi left was a real surprise as I had the pleasure of their hospitality about 17 years ago and it was an amazing experience. Once you get sized up a good person you are a friend of life and they will do whatever to make your stay with them safe and pleasurable as you. The Chuckhi Peninsula is a corner of the world that few get to experience. The New Guinea(?) warriors photos are amazing from the standpoint that many native cultures think that the camera takes a bit of their soul with every picture. He must have developed a big slice of trust before even beginning to shoot.
$130 is so little to pay for a tome of this type.
