Rumours and speculation floating around that an average midfielder with a useful shot is heading to The Toon. Victoria seen at the same hotel Newcastle owner Freddy Sheppard was at. Like to see him back in the EPL and I like Newcastle, but that place is cursed.

It would be interesting to see him back in the EPL although Beckham's agent has quickly dismissed these rumours and Newcastle "never comments on transfer speculations"

Who knows for sure, anything is possible ...

would only happen if Ruud joins. Toon have proposed to Becks that if they can lure Ruud to St.James' than Becks would consider the move strongly.

Magpies have the money and are one of the biggest clubs in England, yes no Euro competition would hurt but doesn't mean they cannot attract players to come to the EPL.

Besides Owen and Shearer, who have they attracted?

Nolberto Solano, Bezoglu Emre, and none other than Jean Alain Boumsong???

i don't think you really understand how the transfer market works out. Ok than, who has Blackburn accomodated? After all they are the ones in UEFA Cup. Than comes Tottenham, they didn't have any European spots last season but look at who they have on their bloody squad! Than you got the likes of Sol Campbell...so he's going to give up playing European footie for a smaller club? Its not the competition buddy its the clubs history and prestige.

I know exactly how the transfer market works...but who cares about the UEFA Cup? That is almost the forgotten tournament, its all about the Champions League. Blackburn will never do any better, Tottenham probably should have had 4th place this season, so I think they will improve but I dont know which of the big 4 will drop out.

Sol Campbell is rumoured to be going to Fenerbahce. They will be in CL and will give him a longer offer than Arsenal.

ok than if you know how the transfer market works, why are there quite a few players on the Chelsea team who want to leave?
Why go to Real Madrid when they have yet to show any success the past 3 seasons but have offered more cash incentives?
Also, Campbell has been offered a contract at Portsmouth as well, so if he does end up with Pompey he would of proven your thoughts wrong.
Why has Robert Pires moved to Villareal? They arent in the Champs League.
Franck Ribery is more interested in playing for Lyon than any EPL club.
Didier Zokora choose Tottenham over Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Again man, its about the contracts and not necessarily what is installed for Europe.

Half the team wants to leave Chelsea because they dont play, and just rot away on the bench, the first attraction is obviously money, case in point Shaun Wright Phillips.

Madrid is all prestige and 'galacticos', there is a reason they havent won, Madrid buys the wrong players, biggest mistakes they have made is losing Makelele and Cambiasso.

I was unaware of Sol going to Portsmouth, cannot see it happening though.

Pires moved because Villareal offered him 2 years something Arsenal wouldn't. He's achieved it all in England anyhow (except CL)

Ribery is the French team at the moment and of course in CL

Zokora chose Tottenham because he'll actually get to play there, although Tottenham do have a ridiculous amount of midfielders.

Of course every player wants more playing time but it doesnt always work out that way, with Chelski players being the prime example.

but back to the original point...I cannot see Beckham going to Newcastle.

so there you have it, like i said its not about European competition. There are other factors that come into play. Gallas wants to leave Chelsea...even though they offered him a ridiculous amount of cash, he said he was disrespected and the process that the contract talks were handled were not appreciated. He has been a long serving Chelsea player and the team did not show loyalty to him.

Ribery would of stayed in Marseille if Jean Fernandez was not fired.

I see Sol Campbell is quitting Arsenal, that's too bad he was one of my favs.

Don't know if I trust Senderos in there just yet, he is afraid of Drogba!
