bbbj bad, daty good?

A short while ago, a certain newly-indy Ottawa SP stirred up some controversy here at TERB with her firm and public anti-bbbj stance (and I respect her choice), but I was puzzled by the fact that she still allowed daty. Since then I've noticed this same pattern with many other SP's: no bbbj, daty ok. My question is: aren't they two sides of the same coin? Isnt the risk the same for both kinds of oral sex? I thought It was equal but maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?

Got into this in another thread. Apparently, there is a higher risk of transmitting (STD's STI's) when a man is given a BBBJTC as opposed to DATY. Be that as it may, I understand where you are "coming" from with the whole double standard. Probably works in a relationship, can be opted out of by your SP. As for me, I am not opposed to SP's that won't, I just won't choose them. Not if that is what I am looking for. Just like I am not opposed to extremely heavy SP's. Just prefer not to choose them. What bugs me is all the false advertising that goes on out there. If you don't do bbbj then don't say you do. If you don't do GFE, then don't advertise to that effect. I have seen 3 SP's this year, the 1st while being DDG, slim and columbian advertised and did not deliver. An hour HJ resulting in 3 releases, but c'mon, I wanted the GFE and bbbj. No nothing, even if she allowed DATY, why should she enjoy herself, (and believe me they would) if my needs get denied. What a rip off. I don't want the hassle of a committed relationship, and I can confine my hobbying to rub and tuggeries for the most part with the odd exception of seeing a SP that will do BBBJTC. My risk factor with an SP is relatively low, however not non-existent. As for their risk factor, pretty damn low also. I give money for an enjoyable encounter. The encounter is mutually agreed upon in advance, (personal likes and dislikes) and then set or not. Pretty easy to do. I try not to be too explicit in my emails or texts, but asking for a list of restrictions usually weeds out the uninterested, and that suits me fine. I do my best to be a healthy and hygienic customer. I am polite, friendly and discrete. In almost every way conceivable an "ideal" client. To me its a case of demand and supply. If we don't demand it (demand is french for ask) then it should be no surprise if we don't receive it. If the ads tempt with YMMV, then ask in their presence BEFORE money is exchanged. If denied before payment, thank them and turn around, if denied after the exchange, get your goonie goo ass back to the board and report your experience to save us. Eventually we will become the wiser for our sharing and hopefully discourage B&S'ers from taking advantage of our community.

Those who say BBBJ is unsafe and that DATY is safer clearly know absolutely nothing about biology, anatomy, and immunology, (which I do). Any transfer of any fluid saliva-to-penis-and-back and saliva-to-vagina-and-back carries the EXACT same risk factors for both the receiver and the giver.

The vaginal fluids, penile fluids, and saliva can all carry viral, bacterial, and fungal loads. Which kinds, well that can vary from person to person, and from time to time. Susceptibility can also vary to the person. So while one person can be totally immune to one thing, the next person can catch it by mere split second contact.

If your immune system is taxed (even minorly from a very very slight cough/tickle/cold) your risks balloon greatly when it concerns susceptibility to a secondary immune attack from another agent.

So the SPs that think their totally fine with not doing BBBJ but allowing DATY are only fooling themselves. Something as simple as yeast is carried on the tongues of many many men (whose own immune system keeps in check, and show absolutely no sign or symptoms) can infect the SP by DATY.

Just realize that sexual activity with SPs and hobbyists is risky, its not 100%, even if you are super safe, its not perfect. You just have to accept the risks if you play. But like anything in life, nothing is 100% safe guaranteed, and everything you do carries a risk in one way or another.

Well said Dorion! you approached this topic with facts instead of conjecture and wishful thinking. Makes me think of the people who have cancer but don't even know it. You can be symptom free yet, still have major health issues. Even more to the point, all activities have certain risks. This hobby certainly can result in a major one if one is not careful and or their role of the dice results in snake eyes. Even the best precautionary behaviour can result in unwanted consequences. Since I am not willing to surrender my freedom for sex, I'll keep on hobbying. Most of my buds are in relationships/marriages that are unfulfilling and unpleasant. Leaving isn't really an option, so, if they decided to hobby, it would be with my approval, however, they don't. Too bad too (for the ladies) as my buds are among the greatest guys you'd ever want to meet and spend time with. Too bad the miserable psycho-bitches they live with treat them like shit.

Agree with all. The evidence says what Dorion said, hence my puzzlement, and that's why I brought this up.
