It's probably easier to just stick some tracking device in Calloway's bumper.
His bumper or his car's bumper? If it's in his bumper I hope they at least buy him dinner first.

So I've been reading all the posts (and commenting a little) both in this thread and the other one called "KW bust", and what I've learned is that we all agree on one thing: Police intervention on SPs working discreetly out of sight doing incalls is *strictly* due to citizen complaints, never because they decide they're going to "do something about prostitution because it's evil/wrong/immoral/etc.".

All this talk of police busting SPs has understandably gotten me just a little nervous about LE sticking their nose in. So I've got a question for all the experts here: What if there's a "complaint" or report placed with the local police by an anonymous citizen. Let's say it's not the nosy little old lady counting traffic going in and out of a house, but rather (as has been mentioned) a jealous competitor or a disgruntled ex-boyfriend. For the record, I have neither, lol. ;)

But what if someone like that were to call the local police department and say, "So-and-so is working as an incall prostitute out of her address at such-and-such a house/apartment." And let's say that this is the *ONLY* phone call they get, not a deluge of people on the block complaining "there goes the neighbourhood". Just that one jealous other SP or angry ex-bf.

What happens next? Do the boys in blue uniforms show up at the address and question all the tenants, the landlord, and the woman in question? Or would they set up an undercover "sting" where they try to find contact info for her and then send her an e-mail and try to set up an incall appointment ... and when the undercover cop arrives he then arrests the SP? Or might they disregard that one phone call if they were told or if they felt that the man/woman making the call wasn't credible? I just don't know ...

I just want to know how this works, because as XTC said in the other thread, let's hope this doesn't trigger an orgy of incall/Bawdy busts (pun intended). And if there's any danger of that, the girls here should maybe "get educated" on how LE might work if it were to come to that.

I want to make one thing clear: I am not trying to start a panic, and I do not believe that there will be an "incall rampage" by the cops. But I still don't think it would hurt if we established how LE would conduct itself if they received one single complaint on an indy working out of her home. (Obviously, I have a vested interest, lol.)

So would anyone like to put in their knowledge on this question? It would be much appreciated ... ;-)

If it only took one call I'd have imprisoned a few of my neighbours a long time ago... not that their SP's just that I don't like them. Obviously they have to have some proof before they can get a warrant, and they have to have justifiable reason to start an investigation into a person to get said proof. So all in all it takes more then a phone call. One phone call is merely hearsay.

As far as that goes most independents (so long as their off the streets) they aren't even worried about. So long as they aren't getting complaints from neighbors all the time they won't even bother with it. Unless there are minors involved of course. One call mentioning minors IS generally enough to get cops looking into things (which is what I think happened at the RAD).

Best way not to get complaint calls? Don't piss off the neighbors for starters. Also have a believable cover story about why there is traffic going into and out of your house/apartment. For instance if you have a lot of people going in and out of your place and never talk to the neighbors rumors will start. Keep in mind that if you say you're an accountant a neighbor might ask you to do their accounts so use something you know.

Thanks for the info Antari. You've always been an informed, thoughtful poster since you joined a year ago (and to think that you were originally accused of being the 3rd incarnation of Tianjin, lol!).

I suspected that one phone call from a disgruntled person with an axe to grind wouldn't really come to much - I imagine that if the police opened investigations into every single complaint that people called in, they'd never be able to get to them all, let alone what you might call real crimes (assault, rape, murder, theft, vandalism, etc).

Myself, I get along well with my neighbours and so there's no danger of any complaint calls coming from them. But for those of us who might have a "Nosy Nellie" living next door, I'm sure a lot of independents working quietly out of their homes will be happy and reassured to read your post, as well as goalie000's post, reassuring us that one bitchy person very likely won't get the cops nosing around.

Thanks again hon.

No Problem Keyra. Yeah I joined at exactly the wrong time I think lol.

I've been accused of being Tianjin, a shill (for 3, or is it 4? different ladies now) and a few other interesting names hehe.

I've been labeled a female SP in disguise (because I type hehe).

I take it all with a grain of salt because the only reason I'm on here is to track down Sp's (and more commonly Mp's) that suit my specific desires.

I've not had the Pleasure of meeting you yet Keyra, not because you're not beautiful (though you are a bit smaller then I tend to chase after) but more because I prefer double treats ~grins~. Though perhaps sometime I'll have to book my favorite B&b there in your city for the eve and see what may come.
