Sounds funny I know, but anyone else see that remake of Battlestar Galactica last weekend?
I was a fan of the corny old series, and maybe it just stirred up nostalgic feelings, but I actually thought this new one was awsome. They even made Starbuck a chick now!
Would love to see more of it.

NO big deal...I thought it sucked...all talk-barely any action or Sci-Fi effects...Didn't get to see much of the Cylons-U didn't miss much other than the hot Asian girl.

I missed it. Do you know when they are going to rerun the episode ?
Was a 4hr movie on Space, but their website doesn't mention a re-run yet. I'm sure it'll be back on before the spring is over. Might even show up on video/DVD. Looked like they actually had a budget on this one, and the cast signed contracts to commit them if it turns into a series again.

And oh yeah, the hot asian chick! That's Lt. Boomer, now also a chick instead of a black man.

Wasn't too fussy about the new "humanoid" cylon babe though. Seemed to me a kinda rip-off of "6 of 9" from Star Trek.

I missed it...

First off, the mini-series was actually a pilot for the Sci Fi network in the US. Likely we will see a much darker (than the 80s version) series emerge from it, as I understand it...

That being said, if anyone sees the DVD available for this, please let me know as I am very interested in seeing it even if I have to buy...as opposed to rent.

Thnx,
Bard

I have to admit...I can accept a female Starbuck...but James Olmos as Adama is what has me scratching my head...

I just keep expecting Crockett and Tubbs to walk in at some point...

Saw it. I thought it was pretty good; considering that it was made for tv. Actually, I'd put on the top of my list of great sci-fi series openers. Action was great; the cast wasn't too bad and the story was well written.
I wasn't expecting much when I first heard about it; but it was definitly worth watching.
Will give the series a chance if it ever comes out.

I thought it was pretty good, I hope it gets made into a series. I was around for the first series, but I never really watched it. Now I'd like to get the original series on Dvd, I assume it exists.

It was okay. I would have liked to see the Cylons more. I can't get enough of that red eye bouncing back and forth.

The Asian character was sweet looking. --- Kev

Saw it, & thought it wasn't bad, but I do prefer the original characters, with the exception of Boomer. That asian chick is hot! Just a question, though....is this version actually darker, or are our perceptions darker post 9/11?

Damm there was a "6 0f 9" and I missed it. I thought Jeri Ryan was hot as "7 of 9", would have loved to see her partner. Why didn't they show all 9. Would have been great if they were all hot looking babes.

Sorry but she was always 6 of 9 in my mind. :)
