Up until the early 2000s hobbying was tolerated in Iceland, then laws were brought in and hobbying and even strip clubs were all shut down. What was happening before then? Guys were humping their second cousin Ingeborg and did not know it. It may have been worse pre 60s and 50s. Granddad may have a married a close relative because communications and transportation was not as it is today.
I used to post ads on Craigslist Casual Encounters and one response I received was from someone who claimed that she and her husband were looking to start a family but had run into issues due to his low fertility so they were looking for someone to donate sperm ... as nature intended.
Doing a little legwork revealed that it was likely an attempt to get me to sign up for an Adult Friend Finder clone, get a pic of my dick or waste my time, they were "borrowing" images from a couple who produce amateur cuckold porn, google "MILF Becca".
I'm not going to lie, there was a small part of me that was intrigued if it had been a legitimate offer. Yeah, I would have asked them to draft a legally binding document where the husband would acknowledge that he knew I was knocking up his wife because if they separated and it got messy, he could have said, "The kids aren't mine and I can prove it!" And as the bio-dad, guess who's one hook for child support?
I've accepted that I'm never going to become a father and being honest, it's something I don't really have a lot of interest in anyway but I have to admit, knowing that I had a couple kids is a nice thought. The fact that I would have gotten laid would have been gravy!

Artificial is unnatural. A child is better procreated the
way nature dictates. I bet the mother's emotional tie
to a child is healthier if she knows who the father is
even if it is a brief encounter.
