Because of work, I had to move out west. When I lived in Toronto, certain things used to grate on me like the gridlock during rush hour and the sheer number of people. The things that I missed after leaving were the convenience of being able to get anything you want without having to wait, the subway system and of course the escorts. Next to Montreal, I'd say Toronto is one of the top cities in North America for the escorting scene. It's like being a kid in a candy store!

I took the subway to go downtown to for an incall. I am fit, was clean shaven and dressed normally in black oxfords, black socks, blue polo chinos, a beige Adidas golf shirt and a black Adidas jacket. At one of the stops, the doors opened, and a good looking woman was standing on the platform. Our eyes locked, and I thought to myself if she sits nearby, I'm going to try and strike up a conversation. What does she do? she turns and walks to the next set of doors to the car behind the car I am on. No matter, I'm on my way to see an escort.

I meet up with the escort at her place and have a great time. I mention the subway ride, and she told me she and all the other single girls where she works wear fake wedding rings. They just don't want to be bothered while at work.

I don't know how you guys meet civies when women put up these kind of hurdles.

After 5 years in the field, I might be moving back to an office position. I went to Harry Rosen's yesterday to look around, and it looks like I'll need to drop over $5,000 to update my wardrobe. That's sticking with the private label J.P. Tilford stuff with Allen Edmonds shoes, belts and brand name ties.

Forget the AE shoes their great quality but the procedure to get them is too cumbersome, unless they've changed it lately. Try a kilt, as the whole daywear outfit will keep you under a G note and the ladies love it. You just have to learn how to tie your shoes without showing off too much. The best way is to have one of the ladies do it.

O.P. I think you're assuming the worst. There are so many variables at play in the subway its very difficult to pinpoint the exact reason someone moves from one spot to another. For what its worth I'll share with you what goes through my head, as a woman, when a subway car pulls up in front of me.
I scan the contents of the car and make a fast judgement call according to: 1) density/seat availability; 2) rowdiness of the occupants; and 3) the way the occupants are dressed (stereotyping definitely). These are in order of importance.
*Women tend to look at what situation they're walking into, not what they're walking away from*

Don't take this the wrong way, but to be blunt, you were probably not her biggest concern at that moment. Naturally, you were thinking like a man, not a woman. Try to anticipate what she's thinking and then you can make a move that will get on her radar.

Its not that men are invisible to women. Hardly the case, I check guys out all the time. But the 30min train ride I have to endure is more important for me to deal with then thinking about where my next fuck is coming from. Its not hard for women to get fucked. Its harder for women to find a comfy ride home on the TTC. I know its hard but try to think like a woman in these situations.

I disagree. Talking to strangers isn't scary. Its a necessary skill we all have to develop. Maybe its something you're doing that instills fear in the ladies? Its all in the delivery I think. On the other hand, I'm not from Toronto so perhaps I think differently than the local ladies.

You gave her that "I'm ready to fuck an escort look". I know that if I give a woman a certain look (like a wolf? lol), it might be intimidating to her. It's not cool to always look very cool and cocky. A disarming look or smile might work best, or an innocuous comment about some random observation. I might do so in an elevator or at a cashier or while waiting in line somewhere, as if I'm not really interested in her. It's easier to strike up a conversation that way.
