I wonder how this will affect the sex industry. Most of the industry doesn’t claim sex related income. Now they could be required to explain how they financed large purchases or risk confiscation.

Hey, selling sex as an individual is not a crime in Canada as I understand it.
We, the guys that want to buy companionship, are the criminals in the Harper model.
So, providers, fess up income of individual proprietor legal business activity to CRA.

Honestly, even when it was illegal for providers , there was still a tax code of entertainment that many providers used.
Fucking with local law enforcement is one thing and many were willing to do that, but fucking around the CRA is a whole other matter.
