Let us see if everybody wants to avoid the US, like everybody are arguing to avoid Mexico.

Your analogy and inference is comical.

You have a better chance of dying from that Flesh-eating disease thna being killed on vacation, regardless of the destination.

i never have an issue crossing the border, i am always across in about 10 mins, love how shit actually costs what it says it is going to and not 16% more, love how the gas/diesel is cheaper, love the interstates and lack of traffic, love how people know how to drive and this is only a reference to toronto but in comparison to here (toronto) everyone is really fucking nice and friendly.

actually, the people in Florida are really nice...I have a place in Orlando, whether it's shopping, goin out to dinner or checkin out some bars and nightclubs, askin for directions, the service and people are the warmest i've ever met...yeah there is a dangerous element in FLA, but those areas and places where violence does happen, is rather isolated...jus stay in safe areas, much like anywhere in the worl\d....as for dirvers, yeah Americans know the left lane is for passing..unlike here where the left lane is used to exit off the right ramp, 100 metres from the exit:p

there merge ramps are way shorter than ours and i never have an issue. drivers here got like 2km to merge safely and still manage to fuck it up and pace whomever they have to get around.

I've never had a problem traveling in the US and I go there all the time on business. Mind you, I always travel with private security just to be safe. Same with other third world destinations.

Unfortunately when you get a case of the munchies at 2:00 a.m. and miss the turn when walking to an IHOP and then walk ten more blocks into an increasingly run down area. . . . However Sarasota, Florida is not what one would call a dangerous place to visit.

This just in! Tourists seem to be dying everywhere including in airplanes, trains and automobiles! In conclusion it's not safe to travel anywhere let alone leave home!

A Torontonian got stabbed just down my street last month, and I'm scared.

Police discussing the suspect: Let's just say he is no criminal mastermind. He is incapable of luring anyone into an ambush - they must have just happened upon him. His last arrest was for shooting at passing cars. He failed special ed school and dropped out.

Have you vacationed in Mogadishu recently?

In the case of Mexico I agree with you... although there are certain cities I would avoid. Namely, any city that is within an hour's drive of the US border should be avoided. The rest of the country is mostly pretty safe.

The only way to stay really safe is never to get out of bed. No, wait - most deaths occur in bed! Help! Stop the world, I want to get off.
