Avoid D-Link Routers and associated hardware

I'm so mad at these guys I could spit fucking nails.

A couple months ago I bought a D-Link router to wirelessly connect my PS3 to my internet connection.

Right away, my Google searches were hijacked to a D-Link search site. After some repeated attempts to get service (their 1-800 number was not in service) someone at D-Link FINALLY walked me through the steps to disable that function.

Well, it was working fine up until early this afternoon. I changed nothing, didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, again, all my searches were hijacked. I re-did the steps to disable the function but the required choices are greyed out in the setup.

There's nothing I can unistall because the D-Link simply just doesn't show up in my programs list.

Once I get this next fix completed, I'm going to take this fucking router and use it for pistol practice.

So a word to the wise: AVOID D-LINK ROUTERS AND HARDWARE. The aggravation I've had from these people is just beyond human comprehension.

Agreed, reaching their customer service is impossible. It'd probably be easier to reach God (if he existed that is). lol

Strange. I've had a D-link for the last six months with no problems at all.

Is this something new?

I have a Dlink DIR-825 (Dual Band/Wireless N). I've had to disable several services that the router offers to keep it stable enough to use (ususally died every 2-3 days. No Firmware updates to fix the issues abysmal support, this is their flagship Dual Band router... I also had to buy a pair of Antenna's for it to reach my living room on the Second floor from my Den on the 3rd floor) standard construction townhouse.

I should have stuck with Linksys... (now owned by Cisco)
