The lack of a thread for the past few weeks' fight cards has prompted me to create one where reviews, predictions and thoughts can be shared by any Boxing fans here, with no particular order or agenda.

Major fights will still hopefully have their own thread, but I suspect there are few members who are hardcore fans or who'd use their Terb time to post about Boxing for anything other than mega-fights. This thread can serve us for the remainder of the year.

On a selfish note, several Sports and Boxing websites have for some reason been deleting my posts and not running my e-mails - like these totally unrelated outfits were coordinating a censorship campaign. Since I'm a discussion junkie and a bit of an egomaniac, I will use this page simply for the need of seing my rants published somewhere!

In the mean time, feel free to chip in.

I am trying to figure out a way to see the Toney-Guinn / Byrd - Williamson card which is scheduled on the same night as Tarver-Jones III. There is little chance the Showtime card will ever be aired on TSN.

**Does anybody know a club or bar that plans to do it's own tape-delay showing of the Showtime card - Or - which plans to run BOTH cards at the same time, which might leave lots of time to see the Heavies if Tarver-Jones turns out to be another quick fly-swat.**

Post or PM if you have info.

Hard Idle....

Would definitly like to see the Tarver/Jones fight... What time does the fight begin?

Bars you could try calling are Joe Mercurys at Dundas West and Bloor and The Fan at Jane and Bloor.
There are two other bars (sports bars...I think) that play fights that might play them both though I have never been to them and I don't know there names (just know of them from a couple of buddies) But one is located at Dufferin and Dupont (I think...) and the other is at Yonge and Egliinton.

Sorry... wish I could be more help to you.... :(

Thanks Manji.
I know lots of places for Tarver-Jones on HBO, besides the option to get it at home.

My problem is getting to see some of the Showtime card which will be going on almost simultaneously. So I imagine somebody with multiple receivers & TV's would need to either record & show the Showtime card afterwad (either digitally or on tape) or to at least devote one screen to the Showtime card so you canwatch wherever the action is better. It will save me from trolling in vain for the tapes afterwards.

Oh well, the Marquez-Mabuza title foght is off anyway, so it will probably be a mediocre card if reports of Toneys blimpiness are true.

Check out the Sports Cafe on St Clair just a few hundred yards west of Yonge. They always have the fights on...no matter how many in one night.

Give them a call..don't know the number, but it's in the book as "The Sports Cafe" on St Clair West

Well, my regular place had both cards on Saturday, and I was able to catch glimpses of the Toney-Guinn fight. Man, Guinsn is Capital-S Stupid, just leaning on Toney and letting James relax on the ropes & pick spots. Has this guy ever watched a tape of Toney in his life, what was he thinking? LOL

Has anybody watched Brewster-Krasniqi in Europe or via Pirate? Got the footage?

I saw clips of the knock downs. The first knock down was vicious. Krasniqi fell to the canvas like he was just shot in the head.

Brewster is the most exciting heavyweight by a mile.I'd love to see him KO Chris Byrd, and then give Klitschko a rematch.

Hatton-Maussa Nov.26

From what I hear, Hatton-Maussa is not offered by Canadian cariers and all my regular establishments said they don't have it.

Do any anglophiles out there know a pub or other place that might have a European brodcast of the fight?

post info or PM if you have info.

Thanx.
