Never seen a vechicle that could pass inspection that was not worth a grand

I believe the Kidney Foundation does the donation and tax receipt. I'm not sure of the details.

If it is more than 10 years old, one would have a hard time trying to get that sum. I know, I tried with our old trusty 17 year old Taurus, when we got a new vehicle to replace it.

Try Car Heaven, or shop around to find the best deal from a wrecker, if it is too old. We looked around and got various answers from costing us $100 to get it off our hands to getting $100 for the vehicle because we were able to drive it in with dignity.

a parts car is worth 2500 to 6000 depending on condition of the body, motor, tranny, rear end and all mechanical parts

In a very dark place
Wasn't there a program awhile ago with the school boards, that were looking to get cars for the auto shop programs. Maybe some of the Community Colleges do it as well.

standard auto wreckers has a program where they will pick up the car, dispose of it and provide a tax receipt to you in the name of a charity.
