You can get a good deal on a vehicle from any; dealer or private sale
But first do the following;
1) Get a Carproof, Carfax and Used Vehicle information package (from the mto)
It will cost you about $75 for all three reports....In some cases dealers may have already run these reports
2) Buy a vehicle that has a good service history...proper maintenance can make a huge difference regardless of the brand
3) Get a private mechanic to inspect the body and mechanicals of the vehicle
If the person you are buying from has an issue with any of the above.....walk away
If you follow the above you have a much lower chance of buying someone Else's problem
Typically franchise dealers have nicer cars
Good Luck
