No chance anyone is getting anything even though should get raise based on just inflation.
Anyone thinking companies and governments will give a raise during these times is dreaming. Corporations are trying to max profits for shareholders to raise capital and governments have printed so much money. We will be in this struggle for a decade before things calm down. We will be lucky to make 40% more in 10 years.

A good 10 minute overview of what’s going on and some ideas on how to make a deal from a very well respected automotive journalist in Detroit.

For some reason a lot seem to think it’s only caused by one or two things.

Obviously in play today

Also obviously in play today

In play post Covid, when a whole bunch banked $$, while others took it on the chin.

In play now? Tomorrow?

As for the UAW.
Guessing they will hurt their members, more than they help.

Have you noticed unions are now more and more using the word "INVEST/INVESTMENT" when they are demanding huge wage increases?

Example: Teacher unions are now claiming that their salary demands are actually an "investment" in our kids.

Teachers and their union. One big reason Ontario is in the mess we are in today. Might even suggest they care so much, they have thrown EAs, and ECEs under the bus.

No politician, has the backbone to do things. That might upset certain unions, who have mastered playing sympathy cards, and fear mongering in the public domain. Want to be in power in Ontario? Need the unions and GTA

Soon people won't be able to afford a car to live in anymore. How much longer before tents are unaffordable?

The auto workers of North America are demanding 46% raise and an extra day off per week. Auto sales are expected to be down 33% for the next 3-4 years. For industry and governments to give in at this time is to maintain inflation and delay economic recovery. To even meet the strikers half way on these demands can trigger a contagion of demands in other industries and possibly by government workers possibly causing a recession/depression.

After the information you provided indefinitely think they will get a 40% raise. NOT. These workers are lucky they still got a job with all the automation of factories in their industry.
