A friend of mine has a couple of dents on his trunk and was looking around for body shops to go to. So I thought I'd ask here for him since referrals are usually good, word of mouth, personal experiences, etc. Somewhere in Etobicoke or west of there ideally as he lives in Oakville.
Personally I told him to replace the trunk lid, however surprisingly enough, it'll cost slightly more if he were to buy the OEM bumper from a dealer, got it painted and installed. Unreal.

Don't buy the trunk lid from the dealer, go to the wholesaler who sells the parts to the dealer.

Try one of these:

Cross Canada - Brampton
100 Kennedy Rd
Brampton, ON
L6W 3E8
TEL: 905-454-5580

or:

Keystone Automotive Industries Ontario Inc
55 Silton Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 7Z8
905-850-1791

Generally speaking, you can get Taiwan aftermarket parts there for about 40% of what a dealer will charge.
Just take part to autobody to paint and install the part.

if it's just a dent or two with no big creased line, experienced dent doctor can easily fix them for under 100 bucks. If you can post the pic up here I can tell whether the dent doctor can fix it or not.

Labor is so expensive these days that it is cheaper to replace the panel rather than repairing it.

If the dents are small with no creases, try it himself with a couple of suction cups that you can get almpst anywhere. I've tried it twice and it worked just fine.

If not, Walsh's Auto Body on Royal York south of the QEW. Anyone i've sent there and had them do the work has never come back to me and complained and they would, believe me. I've personally used them as well a couple of times.

Believe it or not, I have had very good results with Popham Pontiac Buick - now call Humberview Buick GMC on the Queensway at Eastmall.

And there is no labour to replace a panel?
Yes,there is, but it is still cheaper to put on a new panel than to spend time to beat it out. I also suspect they can do a better job and it will stay looking good longer. The days of pushing bondo into the dent are over.
