This is a week or so old, but I think, in the interest of safety, it may be worth a read... This happened near Finch and Dufferin; those of you who know the area know that this stretch of Finch is where Charley T's is located, and the intersection cited is right where Hot Tub Girls/Red Rose/'Whatever they're calling it now' is located. There are also a number of MPs close by, if I'm not mistaken.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public and the media in
regards to an attempt kidnapping on an 18−year−old woman that occurred in the area of
Finch Avenue West and Alness Avenue.
On Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a man attempted to kidnap a young
woman from a bus shelter located on the south side of Finch Avenue just east of Alness
Avenue, in the area of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue. At this time, there were two men
who helped the woman and were witnesses to the incident.
Police would like to speak with these two men and anyone else who might have information
that could assist in the investigation.
The suspect is described as: brown skin, 5’7", 119−141 lbs, thin build, short curly black hair
styled with gel, three−quarter−length brown suede coat, dark dress pants and dark dress
shoes.
The suspect was last seen driving a red, two−door, newer−model sports car. He was last
seen going eastbound on Finch Avenue West and then southbound on Dufferin Street.
Anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or has any information about the suspect’s
identity, is asked to contact Detective Constable Patricia Meanchopoulos at 416−808−3204 or
