Depending on where you stay, you HAVE to check out the Bar at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. The waitresses are Tres HOTT and very Friendly. Especially if they know you're Canadian. Put it this way: the uniform when I was last there was a black crop top, black mini, CFMs and either black nylons or fishnets......Most of the wait staff was 5-8 or taller so when you're sitting down, well, you get my drift hehehe
The food is pretty good and cheap too. I had a pasta dish with shrimp and crabmeat for $7.00 and couldn't finish it.
At night it is kind of like one of those bars/restaurants downtown in the financial district with a slightly better clientele.
Oh yeah, word of caution, stay OUTTA the east side. Don't go east of 75...even the locals don't go there. VERY rough....Tell you a story on my first visit:
I was looking to buy a laptop so found out where the Best Buy was and went over to check it out. As I was driving my boss called on my cell phone and I was rapping away with him when I pulled into the parking lot. Now I know Atlanta is about 75 - 80% black but I noticed not one white face in the parking lot. Not a big deal for me, I don't really notice race....
So I get outta my car and walk in the front door. Within about 4 seconds a rep walks up to me and asks if I need help. I say no, just looking. So like he's following me everywhere, like 10 steps behind me. I notice but hey, I'm dressed nice so....
I start playing with a laptop and he comes over and asks me if I need help again, I said not really, just thinking about buying a laptop. He says, you're not from around here are you? I say no, down from Canada. He says, well, not to alarm you but this really isn't a good area to be in. He says there is another best buy up at _______ (I can't remember the name) he says just go north on 75 and get off at ________. I said, what's the problem with me being here? He says Well, I guess you noticed you're the only white person here? I say Yeah, and ? He says, probably nothing will happen but I'd suggest you leave right away....I said, is it that bad? He says, it could be.....
Oh yeah, you could also check out Atlanta Underground. Kind of interesting too......Kind of touristy but neat how they built new streets above old ones and left the sidewalks and everything in place....
