ASMR - Autonomous sensory meridian response

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_sensory_meridian_response
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial, with strong anecdotal evidence to support the phenomenon but little or no scientific explanation or verified data.
I came across these vids on youtube and at first I thought it was a little bit creepy to keep watching but I read some info on them, I sat thru a couple of them and I did feel the tingly sensations going around my scalp, ears and back (that 3D sound).
Not all of them work equally well on me but there are a few that made me feel more relax and there were a few that just bored me. Mind you, I'm quite stressed and tired these few days so it might be a factor.

Here are a couple more with different girls.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW7JvIq_XQw -- this one gave me the most tingly sensation, maybe it's because I can hear the sounds the clearest.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHu2Sk0DJpc -- I was wondering how they recorded the sounds so 3D-like, here she showed the equipment.

I find it quite interesting and found out there are a whole lot of these kind of vids on youtube.
I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but I do feel more relax and comfy after a session of it. Actually, it feels really good when you are about to fall asleep.

I am so jumping the cleaning lady when she comes through my office tomorrow!

But hey, "it's all about he wipe, bout the wipe, bout the wipe, no dusting"

Seriously, sound is a key sensory input. If it put you in a zone it's not a placebo. Another hobby is that I'm an audiophile and there's some interesting recordings for headphone addicts. Not as sexy as the cock-whisperer, but a musical exploration of the binaural experience.

Yep, discovered these a while back, and they did give me tingles, but unfortunately, just like any other high, they stopped working after a while. Some of them still make me sleepy, but the tingles are gone.
