I just wanted to step in quickly and give a brief explanation on the reasons there was a rate increase as it really is a simple one.
The plan for coming back to work has been filled with many changes. Plans to be touring other locations as requested by many. Providing clients with new professional pics, and a new website that is a not a freebie wix site. Offering incalls in UPSCALE only hotels until the private location becomes available. Lastly, hiring someone to help handle my phones and appointment scheduling for me to ensure it is an easy smooth process with little delay in response time and adding to my security for working alone. This all has increased the general cost of doing business. Not to mention the natural increases in life that have not been reflected in active rates for many ladies since before the introduction of the HST. Cost of hotels, Ads, even TERB has increased over the last couple of years. This all plays into account here.
This meant looking at the best way to adjust the new expenses, and new locations while trying to keep on a rate that will not be overpriced in some areas, and not under-priced in others. As well as allowing for one straight rate no matter the location and trying to ensure the extra income needed is covering the new higher expenses. This is all on top of actually lowering hours of availability from 5 days a week to only about 3.
Looking at the prices of the other professional and successful ladies that work here in Durham and the other planned touring areas, the rates seem to average between $120-$160/hh and $200 up to $250 and even up to $300/hour. Since the goal was for one rate and being based in Durham mostly, the average here (for successful, higher end, non Motel 6 style escorts) ranged in the $120-$140/hh and the $220-$240/hr price brackets. Filtering all that in, the numbers fell on $140/hr and $220/hour as the magic numbers.
I understand that this may price me off the TDL of some, and I am saddened by that. However at the end of the day, I still have to do what is best for me and my overall business and I hope that you gentlemen can understand that even if it is means it doesn't work for you, or us getting together in the future. I do hope this does not turn into a thread like others I have seen where I am put down, insulted, and be made to read and endure rude comments regarding my so-called "worth". However I understand that everyone is entitled to not only to an opinion, but the option to post that opinion. Good or Bad. If I find in the future that I was wrong in my calculation, I will of course re-think things, but for now these are the new rates. Also, there is nothing to say that I will not offer specials in the future either. I am still in process of all this and things can change. Only time will tell on all that.
I am sorry some are already upset. I hope this explanation helps you gentlemen understand the reasoning behind it all at the very least, and I do hope that I will still be able to at least see some of you soon as well as make some new friends now that I am back.
