It makes total sense. It recreates the womb as opposed to incubators. By using the umbilical cord it allows the lungs etc to develop at a normal rate.

I'm betting in ten years this will become standard issue in all pre natal units. With applications for women who can't carry. As well as simulated sounds and movement once they learn more.
