This may sound funny but how do you arrange an outcall at a hotel/motel. Do you just walk in and ask for a room for a few hours? Or do you book it for the night and leave the key behind? What about ID?

Well, yes, you book a room. If they offer it by the hour, uh, you might want to find a better place lol.

No, you just don't leave your key behind. You have to check out.

Yes, you need ID and you'll probably have to leave a credit card imprint.

Let me ask you this: Have you never stayed at a hotel before?

Responses like this is one thing that bugs me about TERB. We are supposed to be sharing information etc - not putting each other down. Peterr asked a valid question.

Book a hotel as you would any other time. Really, it is as easy as that. Personally I would not book a cheap motel, as there is the comfort factor for both parties, but that is my opinion. Keep the room for the night if you wish. Nothing beats sleeping in a hotel in my opinion. Cheers.

Question is valid. Peterr is probably also thinking of privacy issues and divulging of his identity in case of a "leak". Btw, some of the downtown hotels are really expensive considering a regular hobbyist in contrast to the business traveller.
So, what do yall think of motels like Best Western or Days Inn not in the downtown area? Rates are reasonable, but are they SP friendly?

I think it depends on the girl you're seeing. The Days Inn is a clean, normal hotel room. But I would not want to host a top end SP there, as she is likely used to a better room and may not be as comfortable in a lower-cost hotel, and may not perform as "well" as she would in the Four Seasons. I personally would be very aware of that and it would embarass me a little. Other guys may not care. As well, the girl may not care. Its a crapshoot of course, but I personally prefer to greet a lady in a higher-end hotel room.

But a less expensive, less "classy" lady, maybe a $150/hr indie who has a rep for being a bit rough around the edges, it wouldn't be as much an issue (to me, anyhow).

If cost is that big a factor, use Priceline to get a 4* hotel at 2* rates.

Good response. Thanks.
Btw, did you put Best Western in the same basket as the Days Inn?
Priceline may throw up a good price though. You are right about that.

Never stayed there. Is that the one just a block away from the gay strip on Church? Is is a "gay" hotel, by which I mean would a lone male staying there be assumed to be gay. Or is it just a cheap family hotel near the Gardens?

When in Toronto on my own hook instead of on business, I often stay at the Courtyard Marriott at 475 Yonge. Nicer place with good rates. The Quality Midtown on George Street, across from Varsity Stadium and the Bata Museum was a good clean but affordable place too, but I think its changed hands.

Priceline is the way to go, but you risk getting the Delta Chelsea, which is ok but not SP friendly.
