There seems to be a growing trend of ladies who are employed within this industry, where they are actively promoting themselves as “paid time” escorts. What is curious to me, is the number of patrons who are seemingly ok with paying these “escorts” for their time. Personally, I have always perceived this industry as a service oriented business (hence the term “service providers”). Understanding that legal issues require people to protect themselves by marketing their time as a service, we all know the reality that this business is about sex. As the ladies become popular (for various reasons - looks, personality, enthusiasm) they are able to grow their business to develop new off chutes as clients becomes comfortable with the lady. The specific business off chutes are the points of interest to me:

  • Private Membership Snap Chat
  • Gifting lists and services, being received outside of a session
  • Engaging in platonic events at a cost to the client

I am sure there are many more examples of the above. I am just curious how many Terbites participate in such things and wonder if they would share why they do.

P.S. - if this post is in the wrong section .. my apologies !

I think of them as a "companion" not any listed in the poll.

I don't really care what word they use as long as it's clear what you'll be getting from them. I think the word "escort" is the most polite, so that's what I tend to use.

Just slightly confused by your post.

Are you asking if guys see women solely for paid time with no sexual services? Like never meeting in person? Or only doing social dates?
Or are you asking if guys who partake in the sexual services of escorts, continue to pay for extras like snap chat or only fans?

What is the difference in your opinion between the different titles options you have lists? I think that would help. It would help me answer from the women's side. I can tell you what my clients pay and don't pay for.

If the word “escort” is the most polite, how are the other industry terms derogatory?

Thanks for responding Jessica. To answer your question, my response would have to be all of the above. It intrigues me that men would pay ladies in this industry for anything other than sexual services. Other than the obvious emotional connection, I fundamentally question the advantages to clients participating in Snap Chats, Gifting and paid social dates. I am wondering if there will be a perceived correlation to provider label and the services sought after by clients.

Ok. Makes sense.

First gifting is not one sided so I would personally take that out of the equation.

Snap chats/onlyfans or membership based services are kind of akin to things like paid porn subscriptions or webcam so I would look at it has men who happen to like those things are enjoying those same things with a person they also get to engage with when they book a full session.

I don't think one term defines or exactly discribes the different catogizes one type of provider from another. If all provide sexual services to clients, then all are sex workers/escorts/service providers.

It is just some women have learned to branch out and offer more to their clients who want more then just sexual services.

Also keep in mind, sex is not just two people get together and fuck. Sexual services can include phone sex, sexting, porn, etc.

I get what you are asking though. In your mind, most men would go for the pump and dump. Some may engage more personally but for the most part guys pay to cum. I think that idea comes from the stereotype that men are not emotional creatures. If my work in this industry has taught me anything, it is that is simply not true. Men are emotional beings just like women. They may need different things but part of being a great escort is fulfilling that need that men don't know they need. Which is the emotional side. When that happens, it can expend a man's mind to other forms of sexual services and emotional fulfillment.

Man, I hope that makes sense. I have been fighting my coffee maker and I admit I am not totally with it.

The short answer to your questions would be that everybody partakes in the industry for very individual, personal reasons.
You seem to be just in it for the services, which is totally fine, but please remember that sex workers are humans, and very savvy business-oriented humans, at that. It only makes sense that some would diversify - ie, wish lists, snapchat, "social" dates. If you saw an opportunity to make more money, wouldn't you go for it?

Some patrons are here for the companionship, some are here for the services, some like to see a sexy snapchat every now and then, some people aren't able to "perform" in the bedroom, some are new and nervous, some aren't able to book someone at all due to time/location/financial constraints and choose to support them in other ways (ie, gifts, paying for online content). Some patronize just one type of sex work (ie, in-person), some do more than one (ie, in person and snapchat). The reasons are as varied as the clients, and the sky is the limit.

In regards to label, every individual in this industry is comfortable with a different term. Most of us eschew the "prostitute" label as it is often used in a derogatory manner and comes heavily laden with stigma (and I agree with Kelly, I don't think it should even be listed as an option in this poll). Some select a title based on their marketing to draw in certain sets of clients, ie, someone that advertises as an escort and companion for extended bookings and travel wouldn't appeal to the subset of clients that you fall in. Some just go with the flow, and will use a different title or label on any given day. The beauty of this industry is that it is so varied and unique to every individual, and that we get to choose what label works for us. One thing I ask of you is that you allow the sex worker to choose the label that works for them, and "think of them as that" when you partake in their services, however dispensed.

I keep it simple and think of them as 'ladies'.

The question is not what client uses but what the person being referred to is comfortable with. I use lady, girl, escort, woman, or SP because those are acceptable terms (some will go SJW when people use girl).

And congrats for combining a poll about A with a thread about B. Not surprised at the confusion.

But in response to B, others have said it. Different strokes for different folks. I'll admit I don't understand financial dommes but a sucker is born every day. I do understand some of the other relationships. Then, you've missed all the fetish stuff like dom/sub, humiliation, CBT, GS, etc. To some these are either turn offs or even disgusting but for others that's what makes them happy.

I do get where you are coming from as I'm someone who would never pay a woman to not touch her...

Thanks for your response Dave ... do you pay to interact with “companions”? If so, do you pay for their time, Snap Chat, gifting, etc?
Yes I pay for their time to be with me, never for sex since that would violate C36. I have never used snap chat, or given any gifts.

I don't do social events, dinners etc, or only with friends not paying for their time. I meet at an incall or do outcall to my hotel. If we choose as a consenting adult to have sex, that is perfectly legal since we are paying for an amount of time with a companion not paying for sex. This argument has held up in U.S. courts, I assume it would in Canada and is why escort agencies clearly sell time not sex. Pre C36 they were not living of the avails again because they sold time not sex.

In the many stings in Phoenix, police have to get an explicit offer of a sex act for an agreed amount of money otherwise no bust. Again assume same would applly in Canada.

In the Phoenix Temple case of 39 indicted wonderful women, one was in bed with a cop (with shorts on) and the cop tried every trick to get her to agree well for this $200 will I at least get a happy ending. She refused to take the bait and the bust team was called off. Sadly she was still felony indicted having an affiliation with a criminal enterprise along with all the other members of the Phoenix Goddess Temple. However, because there was no agreement for a sex act for money she was not charged with prostitution (a minor misdeameaner vs felony for assocition with the Temple).
