Are we part of the problem?

I've had a really shity time in this city with booking girls. Seems that no one gives a damn about other peoples time. Not gonna get into specifics about my experience yesterday because I still feel bad for the last time. Never knew she had so many issues. At any rate was just scanning through the postings on cerb and noticed the Penelope is thinking of charging a cancellation fee for her next visit. Which leads me to my beef. I've never been stood up so many times trying to hobby. Twice it happened yesterday. Made a pre-book with one of the cities agencies for 10:30 on Saturday at 12:30 I finally gave up trying to see the girl becuse she wasn't likely to be around until 3:00. Saw Jessy much to my delight, but I had also contacted an indy about her services. She replied on my way to seeing Jessy so figured what the hell I'll se them both (I spend way too much on this lmao). She told me she was still working but would come by when she was done at nine and I haven't heard from her since. The point I'm making is Penelope is not the first girl that I've noticed making this comment. If your not going to see someone be respectful and tell them, shit happens I get that. There's an asian girl I see in the hammer that I book an hour early because I know she'll text me at least three times with an excuse for being late lol. But she always lets me know she's running late. My point is if you can't see someone let them know and don't fuck it up for the rest of us, they're not switching to these fees without reason. Penelope is a visiting sp and imposing cancellation fees? How can she do that? wait until next year when she comes back and collect if you go see her? Do you get something in return if she cancels on you?

To answer your question, I think it is both. There are girls who cancel without warning and/or make you feel your time is worthless, and there are probably some guys that phone a number of girls because they know some girls cancel at the last minute, so they are using their plan B (i.e. second and third choices) from the beginning. It's a vicious cycle. From my experience you get less cancellation from agency girls. Some indy girls have horrible organizing skills and should be with agencies but they are still doing it all alone even if they can't.

If a provider chooses to charge a cancellation fee, that's entirely her prerogative. I think part of the problem is Ottawa, there have been multiple instances of travelling providers coming to Ottawa and getting a raft of cancellations and no shows, in the worst case not even making enough to cover their costs. Some providers have chosen to avoid Ottawa completely, and compared to this a cancellation fee is preferable, especially considering that it doesn't apply to me since I've never had to cancel an appointment.

As for the other way around, if you get a cancellation from a provider, I wouldn't expect much in the way of compensation. The best thing to do if it really bothers you is to vote with your wallet and decide not to book again.

I understand the reasoning behind the cancellation fee, it is quite annoying to have clients cancel last minute when the ladies could have booked another call. Ottawa is notorious for this problem and unfortunately it is probably driving alot of good SPs from sticking around.

Bottom line guys, if you can't be 100 percent sure you can make an appt, don't cock block it for someone that is for sure. Long term you are blocking yourself out of a good thing.

Emergencies happen, but.. You would find it amazing how many guys get into a "fender bender" on the way over.. Or had a client show up last min, or a meeting pop up out of the blue.

The only thing worse than a last min cancellation, a guy who doesn't bother to cancel, and then we have to call them to find out that they "can't make it, something came up".. With us, its the first and last time it happens and we just put them on our ignore list.

Getting back to the topic, I don't know how realistic it is to enforce a cancellation fee when there is enough ladies working in Ottawa that options are there.

A cancellation fee!!! WHAT !!!!

If she stood me up...and then tried to add a cancellation fee to the follow up visit!!!

There would BE NO VISIT!

HARDLY..She can drag my ass to court.

Heck if I wanted to see her that bad..I'd just use another name/phone and she would never know the difference.

Fmahovalich, we're not talking about a cancellation fee when the provider cancels or bails. Rather, we're talking about a cancellation fee applying when the client cancels and subsequently tries to book another appointment.

If you cancel at the last minute or without a good explanation ahead of time, I could see a lady wanting to add a cancellation fee if you want to book again. Heck, I would probably offer it without asking ... after all, I'm the one that screwed up.

Not sure how any provider is going to collect on such a cancellation fee. The whole idea of cancelling is not coming to see that provider. How is she going to know it was the same guy the next time she comes to town?

Had an experience a few years back with a MP.
The MP had a notice posted on their wall that said a cancellation fee will be charged (twice the rate). I had been a regular of this particular MP owner for several years. As it happened, I had made an appointment, but just as I was getting ready to leave, the SO shows up & wants me to do stuff. Crap!

So about 10min after I made the appointment, I called the MA to let her know I had to cancel. She said ok, but the cancellation fee applies. She said that she could have accepted another client in my place. So, there she was left without me & without another so-called client that she just refused.

That was the last she saw of me!
As it turned out, she went legit about 6 months later. I think she was just trying to get rid of her clients anyway - by pissing on them.

Some SP's will charge a deposit when the appointment is booked. (more the traveling ones) Obviously, this will impact the number of booking she gets but it does guarantee some revenue if the appointment is cancelled.

I think that the problem is exacerbated by both sides. We all know that the sp. situation in Ottawa is grim. Many hobbyists have been burned badly. And repeatedly. As a result, I think, their behaviour degrades over time. It has become so unusual to be well treated in this city (as opposed to Montreal or Toronto) the typical hobbyists' attitude gets rather poor, to say the least. As a result, I am sure, some of the better ladies are poorly treated getting the back end, sort to speak, of the negative attitude sported by some of the hobbyists. Seems to be an intractable problem in this city. What goes around comes around and some innocents get caught in the frey. I have always thought that if the sp treated us with respectful behaviour, they would get it back in spades. But I leave it up to you guys to determine which is the cart and which is the horse.

Aaaaah Mila! She was so good when she started and was fresh from Ukraine and then she turned out so bad when she thought she had enough repeat clients and didn't give a shit about them. She was very paranoid (about LE) just before she turned legit.

No, wasn't Mila.
But I remember Mila. Never really my type. I saw her only 2x. She was ok until one time she thought it was a good idea to slop a cold wet rag on me as a sorry excuse of a cleanup.

How does a simple "comment" become duplicated within its own text?

There's something the OP isn't owning up to.

Yeah, her customer service just went down the toilet. I can understand that maybe if she was burned by one or two clients that she might have an issue with those particular clients, but to treat all of us that way was terrible. We were nothing but nice to her. She isn't the only one to have done the radical about-face either. I can recall Maria did the same thing.
