As crazy as this sounds I believe this to be true.
This is at the core of the many issues facing the world today and ever since civilization ever existed.
This is the reason people like Charles Manson can get people to kill for him. This is why religions, ideas and ideologies can program people to kill and harm others in the name of said religion or politics or idea. This is also how people manipulate each other and get each other to do stuff for them or use them but many times they do it unconsciously without actually understanding the mechanics and how it exactly works.
This is also the reason ideas go viral like tide pod challenge or all this other bullshit we see now on social media.
I think eventually we will evolve to a point where we have mind viral immunity training.
Another way to think about it is like your PC or Mac or iPhone and android phones with their operating systems. The operating systems is like the ideology of people they have been indoctrinated with. You can also plant malware with ideas in peoples mind and mess them up totally with seeds of ideas that will germinate, root and grow.
so how do we develop a mind viral immunity? Develop a universal ideology that can apply equally to all sentient being or whatever gets determined to be universal importance. Maybe start as sentient consciousness as the overarching and humanity to specifically apply to the earth. Obviously nobody really knows what this is yet, but we can get there eventually when the need is great enough like the entire world destroyed because of some toxic ideology that caused WWIII and majority of people got wiped.
Albert Einstein understood this well …
