Are deposits a red flag?

Hey all, new to this and have lurked for a while. I’ve been in contact with Dixie Blue after reading about her being reliable. question is , is it normal to have to pay a deposit before hand ? Seems odd to me . Any help would be appreciated
Edit : this is the number I have down for Dixie , would appreciate it if someone could verify it’s actually her , somewhat worried with a deposit being asked of me . +1 (705) 300-1969

That is definitely her number but Dixie has never asked for a deposit

No red flag mate if it is a reputable SP. Usually those that adv. here as indies are 99% reliable - red flags are majority (not always) from LL.
