Rima Fakih of Michigan was crowned Miss USA on Sunday.

Pageant organizers on Sunday night crowned a 24-year-old Lebanese immigrant from Michigan as Miss USA 2010.

Rima Fakih was born in Lebanon, moved to the United States as a baby and was raised in New York City, where she attended a Catholic school. She told pageant organizers her family celebrates both Muslim and Christian faiths. Her family moved to Michigan in 2003, where she later became Miss Michigan USA.

Me though, I stick to natural blonde.

Having said that, I hope she's not going to end up like many average Americans-very obese after fulfilling the duty as Miss USA and enjoying all supersized meals going forward, say her favorite food pizza. ;)

BTW, before any pro-Arabs people here start the lashing, that's equally applicable to any ethnic background in North America.

She's a lovely woman. Dearborn, Michigan is one of the world's largest Arab Christian population centers.

By the way I don't see much hatred of Arabs here, what I do see is disgust with certain ideological - religious beliefs common in the Islamic Middle East.

Merely to clarify given my comment regarding Dearborn, I read that Rima Fakih comes from a Shite family.

Which has nothing to do with the facts that she is beautiful and seemingly nice and a U.S. National.
