I have always liked his voice, very distinct. You here it, you know it was MLK.

Is that Sidney Poitier at 7:15 following Robert Kennedy ?
Yes, that was Sidney Poitier following Ethel Kennedy and her husband, RFK.

What a shame that driving voices for change or hope were snuffed out that year in 1968.

A very sad day. I am old enough to still remember it. One of my favourite quote was by him and I have always tried to live by it. It might not be exact but basically he said
"You should judge a person by his character and not by the colour of his skin or his religion."

As much as I love U2, I wished that they would have done a little fact checking before writing that lyric.

MLK was actually assassinated in the early evening of April 4'th. Sometimes when Bono sings the song live he changes that lyric to "Early evening, April 4"

Anyway, does not detract from the song.

I didn't know that! Interesting.
