Folks:
Those with honour and integrity do not need to speak of it. It is one's actions that says much about a person's conduct. Honour and integrity cannot be bought; it is earned. Once earned, it is up to each individual to determine the manner in which they will govern themselves in the community. In this case; the Terb community.
After a most unfortunate situation, I return to Terb brimming with energy. Much has been made of my silence over the last day. Anyone who knows my way of thinking is well aware that I do not act in haste. To act before thinking will almost always bring you trouble.
Many friends have been in touch with me and would like me to speak out. I have decided that I am not interested in recriminations nor to engage individuals in a blame game. It serves no purpose and achieves no positive end.
To all those who have questions, please ask yourself if there is anything that you have seen or read that would suggest that I would be disrespectful or engage in 'conduct unbecoming of a scholar'. Do a search if you want. My posts contain no profanity nor slurs against any human being. Furthermore, my reviews always consider the humanity of the ladies. Then, consider the source of those who may wish to malign me or accuse me of wrongdoing.
You are all adults. You make your own determination. I happen to be one of those who consider most Terbites to be a bright bunch. The floodgates have opened and it will be up to you to decide what to believe and not to believe.
What is most important now is that there be no bitterness on my part; for to be bitter would only get in the way of showing respect and compassion for others. In other words, "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you". Just because others may not reciprocate does not mean I will change the way I conduct myself.
This is an opportunity for all of us to remind ourselves of what really brings us all together. Isn't it to enjoy a certain lifestyle, to have fun, help others and, ultimately, be happy people?
Right now, please welcome me home. I would ask that those who post keep in mind that unjust actions will be judged over time. The truth will prevail. In the meantime, let's get to the business of enjoying life. If you ask what we should do to deal with injustices that might occur within this industry. The answer can be found in the wise words of Edmund Burke:
"All that it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"
Regards.
