Apple ipod mini?

What happened to the ipod mini? Why did apple discontinue making them?
Best Buy and Futureshop don't carry them anymore.

I don't like the ipod shuffle and the nano.

What gives?

I thought the ipod mini had a good thing going for it.

The mini was discontinued when the nano came out. They have about the same amount of memory space so Apple figured it was the same market. The nano is smaller and uses flash memory instead of a spinning hard drive (so no skip). Also a colour screen so it can show photos.

I have a mini and no desire to switch to a nano.
