I have to confess that I'm still doing my word-processing with Wordperfect 6 for DOS.

And not just for the odd letter -- I write engineering articles for a living, and I write them in DOS WP6.

Are there any other reactionary die-hards out there, or is it just me, now?

I would have switched years ago, of course, but for an add-on program called ScreenExtender. This let's me play around with the screen display without affecting the formatting of the document itself. The screen fonts in SEx are designed for clarity of the screen display. This is good when you are primarily creating, not formatting. SEx is much less restrictive than wisiwig, especially when you wanna get a lot on the screen. Plus, with DOS WP6, macros are simple. Plus, everything is lightning fast, on a modern computer. Plus, you can do a search for every single formatting command in a document. Plus, you can enter every single command from the keyboard.

Or rather, I can -- You're using WORD!

LOL!
I never use DOS on Windows but now that I'm using Linux I do use some DOS.
Does that count?......:D

I still use an old dos program, Calender Creator to print calenders for me.

I once used QDOS but then some genius hid it with Windows

I use DOS to write simple BASIC programs. I also use it for word processing (WordPerfect 5.1) and database management (dBASE 5). I use this on my old 386 which still has some life left in it but of course can't run anything above Windows 95 adequately. I also use my old 386 to run some very old DOS games as well as some very old DOS utilitites.

With Windows XP/2000/Vista, I use BATch programs which "run" in a DOS shell so I'm not sure if this counts for anything.

I use LaTeX...You should try it.

What is DOS?

Just kidding!!!
