I have to confess that I'm still doing my word-processing with Wordperfect 6 for DOS.
And not just for the odd letter -- I write engineering articles for a living, and I write them in DOS WP6.
Are there any other reactionary die-hards out there, or is it just me, now?
I would have switched years ago, of course, but for an add-on program called ScreenExtender. This let's me play around with the screen display without affecting the formatting of the document itself. The screen fonts in SEx are designed for clarity of the screen display. This is good when you are primarily creating, not formatting. SEx is much less restrictive than wisiwig, especially when you wanna get a lot on the screen. Plus, with DOS WP6, macros are simple. Plus, everything is lightning fast, on a modern computer. Plus, you can do a search for every single formatting command in a document. Plus, you can enter every single command from the keyboard.
Or rather, I can -- You're using WORD!
