I need to buy some new all seasons. any mechanics on the board know a good tire shop?

I was going to go to canadian tire or cosco.

recommendations for a half decent set of tires anyone?

of course the cheaper the better , but I still want them to be ok in the rain.

I'm not looking for high performance tires , they're going on a car driven by an old man, so cornering at high speeds isn't really an issue.

I went there for a set of high performance Yokohama and they had the best price amongst all the shops I called. Price quoted was inclusive of all material and labour, like balancing. Tony the owner/manager did the work himself and near the end of it, took out a torque wrench to tighten the wheel nuts. I will go back just for that. I have not been to any other shops in the GTA where they would do this without asking, and some don't even own one.

If your looking for moderate or low cost tires.................

Candian tire is your best bet, check the weekly flyers and try to catch them on sale. Remember that they often have scratch coupons on 3 day holiday week ends. CDN tire has a road hazard warranty,( on tires and batteries) that is what makes it your best buy.

Tirecraft overprices their tires. They screwed me a few years back and I'd never wouldn't go back.

damn you guys are fast .

sheik pm's cleared.

Ben , I just got off the phone with steelcase tires.

they quoted me $89.50/ea for delta -nexen . that's installed and balanced.

are those tires an good though? as mentioned before , they don't have to be great but I just don't want the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality.

also called superior tire , got a quote for $119/ea for toyo tires.are they worth the extra money?

and sheik , if I call speedy , they know you as sheik? I just don't want to get a blank stare if I go in and say " yeah , sheik sent me "

doc, I think most of the places have a road hazard warranty.

Nantucket Tire in Scarborough, ask for Lou. Always good prices and brands.

Got a great deal on a set of performance summer tires at Tire Depot on Doncaster in Thornhill. Dunlop Z rated for $70 per tire better then anyone else. Plus a $20 alignment with installation.

Decent prices at Speedy on Sheppard in Scarborough on general use tires including installation.

Give them a shout at 416-291-5501 They are at 4515 Sheppard Ave E

Tell em I sent ya and you might get a better price since I've bought quite a few from them over the years.
Pls let them know annoying squeaky brakes are not imaginary or should be tolerated.

Sorry about my rant. Back to the thread.
