I've stopped smoking, but my gut issues have started acting up which I believe lean towards gluten and I found smoking helped with that. Not sure how well the oils will do, but hoping they help out. My diet in general is balanced with a bit of junk stuff and processed things here or there, but I'm hoping the oils help otherwise I'll have to pretty much fully stop eating those things.
Anyone here try the oils more specifically for like gut inflammation?
Before you act on johns on a hooker board medical advice on CBD (which there is little reviewed evidence for many of the claims that it will CURE <x,y,z> I'd suggest going to see your Doctor about getting some blood work done and maybe if you can find the right test, a DNA test to see about your genetic allergies etc.
Having said that... if your gut health issues are metabolic in nature (vs mechanical like reflux due to a hiatus hernia for example) then I'd suggest doing some of your own research on the importance of a diverse gut biome. Antibiotics, too much sugar, low fibre diet etc can throw it off.
Probiotics that you get in fermented foods like saurkraut, fermented pickles, miso, kim-chi will help get your gut biome more diversified. Some unpasteurized hard cheeses from grass fed cattle are probiotic too. Kefir, natural yogurt. fermented yogurt-like drinks are also good but high in sugars that can have anerobic bacteria taking over. The probiotic capsules are good but you don't need to take them every day. Once you start the process of restoring the gut biome, the bacteria and other flora take over. You just want to have higher fiber fruits and veggies as "prebiotic" foods are needed for the good bacteria to feed on.
I had to rebuild my gut biome a few years back after taking a round of Azithromycin (broad spectrum, powerful antibiotic). My farts could have gagged a maggot!
My doc told me about the importance of a diverse gut biome and how to rebuild it. I was, and am, astonished at how it can help or fuck up so many things you would not think are related.
One final thought. If CBD is the active drug that addresses gut issues, vaping it will give the highest (safe) uptake of the active ingredients. And taking an oil might cause your gut to overproduce acid that could give you an uncomfortable gut.
I vape high-CBD/low THC extract with the typical 510 cartridge to help with insomnia. But all it does is make me high.. and give me severe munchies. Higher and worse than high THC carts.
