I saw a new ad on CL in Ptbo. I sent an email. she got back quickly. What I got was a website. I went to the site and it went on big time about how she isnt LE. She also said she wouldnt meet anyone until they bought a membership for 4.99 and got a password. The password would varify who we are and she would then meet. She gave a phone number with an area code from Seattle. She did say the 4.99 would be taken off her price. lol. When I emailed her back saying I wouldnt buy it she said that she wasnt into games and got kinda upset that I didnt buy in. Does this sound funny to anyone else?

The pics on the site are very cute and the prices seem a bit low(not to ever complain about prices. To each their own)
Has anyone ever run into this before? Sounded fishy so I backed away

The woman claimed she was from Montreal. The pic showed a very good looking blond for $80 for half.

I had never heard of this verification code and thought it was very strange.

Upon further investigation the purchase price for this verification code was 35 bucks or something and allowed you access to certain porn web sites.

It's a trick to get you to subscibe to internet porn.

I knew it was a scam I just didn't know what. Now I do and so do you all now.

Ignore it, real escorts don't operate like that.

If it is a porno site then the most you can get fleeced for is the $50 you put into the prepaid credit card. If they refuse to allow you to cancel then report them to VISA. They will lose their privelege to have VISA collect for them.

Perhaps she gets that $5 that you enter. Perhaps it is a scam but if you use a pre-paid credit card and you track your transactions and cancel the next day ...

She seems like a nice girl. You could ask her if it is a scam? I would imagine that she dislikes scams as much as you do.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all. It's very much the girl who is scamming you here. The credit card has nothing to do with verification or anything to do with the service she's offering. She's just trying to make extra money in a devious deceptive way.

I was in contact with this same girl and pretty much went through the exact same experience. I was just having fun with her, or him? The first thing that gave it away from me, was that she wanted verification that I wasn't a cop, yet she said it was fine to use a prepaid credit card to maintain my privacy. Last time I checked, these two ideas kind of conflict.

I was thinking of actually buying a prepaid card just to see where this went, but my better judgement actually kicked in this time.

The fact that this thread has gone on for so long is the reason why scams like this continue to exist.

1) You are not going to get a SP. They will say anything to get you to buy the porn. Most likely its a man and not anywhere close to the location they claim. Paying 5 bucks to a website IN NO WAY WOULD BENEFIT A SP, end of story.

2) Visa can not to anything about it. You have to agree to so many things to get through it is giving you consent that you want to pay for porn. They won't drain your credit card, but they will charge you the amount (way to much) to access their site.

3) PLEASE DON'T FEED THE CREATURES. If you want to lose money, then donate it. If you want to see porn, subscribe to it. Supporting this scum, even checking it out, means they they continue to opperate. Meaning that THEY WASTE OUR TIME, with their stupid scam when looking for a SP, all because some guys are dumb enough, or curiouse enough to try it.

My beef is online personal ads used to be great hunting grounds for sex. You had to put in some work to get someone but it was possible.

Now all the personals from women on cragslist ect are all this scam. You cannot find a real woman because you waste so much time resposding to adds from these losers.
