Just curious, has anyone ever had a date, showed up with the cash and have an escort turn them down. I'm always amused by lines like "She caters to only the clean, upscale, discerning gentlemen, looking for private companionship." I swear, you can show up in jogging pants and a ripped t-shirt, stinking of sweat and if you've got enough money, everything is good.

Aren't ripped clothes in style? - LOL! I don't think what you are wearing makes too much difference and stinking of sweat can be removed with the obligatory shower. IMHO, being a gentleman gets the best mileage, at least with the courtesan types.
As to ever refusing anyone, I know a few SPs that have told me they have refused clients who showed up drunk or trying to barter the price at the door, or trying to pay in unrolled coinage!
