Out being curious
Hey guys...i dont know if its my settings or what...but the past two days my terb post times have been way off from the actual time....anyone else have this problem?

its not really a big deal..just kind of annoying at times...

for instance..right now its 3:20 am but look at the time it will say i posted this......its usually a couple hours behind...

anyone else??

Have you checked your time zone setting in the Forum Settings?

Terb time is always out by a few minutes... currently about 10 mins slow... (my watch shows 6:46 but the forum clock shows 6:36...)

Click on the Settings link (top right corner), then look down the left side column for General Settings, and then in the Date & Time section you will find the Time zone settings... Here in Ontario you'll want Eastern Standard time... also be sure to check the Automatic DST setting.

And yet the official time for your post says "4:38 a.m." :D
Not on my computer... it says i posted it at 6:38... which I presume is lagged by the 2 minutes it took for me to access this thread, read the posts and then type out my response...

You may need to check your time zone settings as well. LOL.

The board software is designed so you will see all times in your local time. But that means you must set your local time zone in the account settings. Comparing times between users is pointless; unless they're in the same time zone, they will always differ. And they'd hafta tell us what zone they're in.

It's happened before that this whole clock thing has defeated Fred's Many Minions, but I don't think that's so this time. The OP's post on my 'puter, which is EDT, reads: 03-30-2010 03:11 AM. He says in that post:
for instance..right now its 3:20 am but look at the time it will say i posted this......its usually a couple hours behind
and then follows up just one minute later with:
LOOK! it said i posted it at 1:11am...but really its 3:20am....weird
Given the ten-minute discrepancy CycleGuy noted above, that means the OP's clocktime of 3:20 is right on for EDT. If the board's giving a time stamp of 1:11, two hours earlier than that, then it thinks his 'puter is two time zones further west, and it's up to him to correct the info.

In many 'puter issues the 'fault' and the fix are both found just in front of the keyboard.

You were right. I have corrected my time zone setting.

Meanwhile, is anyone feeling intimidated by that photo of KatiePie with the psychology textbook? I mean, not that I have any issues. But I have this "friend"....

You're welcome... ***adds yet another invoice to the tech support pile...***

Glad I could help.

Nope not a message in my visitor file

and apparently I have NO friends, or requests to be a friend ..... lol

However If i click on the NOTIFICATION the menu drop down says ...... "1 group invitations "

if i click on " 1 group invitations " a new page opens and says group name " Muse Massage Spa" ... looks like a typical thread

I click to open the thread and a new page opens .. looks like or i guess it's the Muse massage spa group page,..

so basically clicked on just about everything on this page except " Join " button and " tools " button .... OK then,.. in " tools " menu you have a choice to " join " or "leave " the group ... click ! ... ahhhhhhhhh ! notification gone ... just like that !

OK now for my next question,... while performing the above exercise I noticed i had 789 visitors to my profile page, ... strange maybe ?..hmmmm... so i check all my personal contacts profile pages .. hmmm .. strange, not a single one has more than 200 visits while most are way under 100 visitors,..so i ask why so many visitors to my profile page ? ... hmm ... i consider myself to be a main stream Tervert

so i check CG007's profile,.. 1023 visitors .. now that's what i'm talk'in about ! ... oh hold on a minutes CG's got 12, 506 posts while i have 350 posts,..

thoughts ?
