it comes on AM 640 at night, all throughout the middle of the night. They pretty much tap on to taboo subjects, a lot of the conversation is straight out of left field.

Things like secret society, Aliens and alien abduction, astral travel, time travel, free masonry, consciousness, religion and spirituality, ghosts, the afterlife, death and near death experiences, politics etc. Pretty much anything is game

Its a liberal show, so its not for everybody, just wondering if some people on here listen.

Somewhere between here and there
I started listening one night and he was freaking out about a cult like person bringing people in Satanism especially children...I finally figured out he was talking about the Author of the Harry Potter books.

Funny and scary at the same time.

I listen to Coast to Coast on the weekends only since it is broadcast early in the morning during the week. The weekends used to have Art Bell but the conversation is still interesting.

The guests, with all their peculiarities and holes all over their stories, are treated with respect by both the hosts and the callers. Topics such as remote viewing, sasquatch, UFO's, communicating with the dead, shadow people and ghosts are always discussed without Devil's advocacy or rebuke.

The callers all seem to have strong Southern accents and are devout followers of this, "Conspiracy Radio."

By the way, all of the stuff is bunk, except for the crashed flying saucer sitting in the guarded hangar at Wright-Patterson air force base.

I used to listen to that show all the time. Some topics are very interesting while others are laughable. I found that the same guests & topics would retread month after month and they down right depressing so i stopped listening to it because it would keep me up at night but ff you're a nighthawk and are workin somwhere it is good listening.

I listen from time to time if I'm having trouble sleeping. It's a fun show, I think ghost stories, paranormal activity, conspiracies ans pseudo science can be very interesting. Plus you get a rare perspective that really isn't reflected elsewhere in mainstream media.

Try anytime after 12. On Sunday a little bit later because of Live Audio Wrestling program, so I would tune in after 1 am on Sundays.

Art Bell still hosts the show on the last two Sundays of every month, I agree great show.

Sometimes it's a great show with guests talking about the overpresciption of antibiotics, and sometimes it's a really great show when people call in claiming to be possessed by the devil. Seriously, some dude kept calling in claiming he was the devil and kept possessing this girl.

my alltime favorite subjects on the show:

audio recordings of ghosts taken at cemetaries, old castles, etc. really creepy stuff, especially since the voices were frequently of young children

for the whole show, Art Bell once repeatedly played this audio recording that he claimed was from hell. literally. lots of shrieks of agony and the like. don't ask me where he got the tape from

a catholic priest was a recurring guest who would go into vivid details of the exorcisms that he had participated in

I honestly think the radio station should play a disclaimer at the beginning saying that "the opinions of this show do not necessarily reflect blah blah blah".

Why, you ask? Because while this show might at first seem like some harmless fun that's good for a laugh, the host and his guests are also propogating ignorance on an obscene level. Basically, he's lying to his callers and listeners. Now, either's he's insane and really believes what he's saying, or he knows exactly what he's doing and is raking in a windfall. I think it's the latter.

It's fine if everyone is in on the joke, but a lot of his callers aren't. A lot of his callers have some serious anti-social behaviour issues, and Art's show (and shows like it) are basically cultivating that behaviour.

Listening to the show isn't going to make someone go out and blow up the Oklahoma Federal Building. But it is going to make such people sympathetic to those who do in the name of fighting the "New World Order".

Would you want your kids listening to a radio show that claimed the world was flat, that 1+2=5, and that the Sun and Moon aren't real but are just holograms projected into the sky by the secret government?

Does Art Bell have the right to air the show? Absolutely. But I think the radio stations that air it should take some greater responsibility for their decisions when they put him on. IMHO.

There's a website coasttocoastam.com or something. Good for pix and audio links. He occasionally has on a guy named David Icke, who was a sports anchor in the UK about 20 years ago. David lost the plot a little and now writes books and lectures on shape shifting and how the Royal Family are really giant Lizards.
