I'm in the odd spot of needing a hotel room at a decent place from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Is there any 4-5 star property in Toronto that will book this for me without charging for two days?

Thanks - KK

Many do. Just call and ask for the day rate.

Maybe I should rephrase the question. Are there any hotels that will allow me to reserve a room for the day. I've called half a dozen higher-end properties and the answer is always the same, "we can take your reservation but there is no guarantee there will be a room available when you get here, just walk in when you get into town and we'll let you know"

Like that does me a whole lotta good.

Trust me, my friend. There is a always rooms available. Unless there is a convention or something. That is the only time a hotel will turn away business.

That actually depends on the hotel, some of the busier ones, like Sheraton Centre, offer day rates but (particularly Friday to Monday) fill up and rarely allow you to book the day before.

I am also looking for somewhere in the downtown core that offers day rates and generally has day rooms available and would appreciate any insights
