Any good plays in town??Theatre plays

I'm looking for a good play in TO. I've seen RENT a few years back and loved it, looking for that kind of humour and content again. Was thinking about "mama mia" ???any other suggestions???

Another idea is The Producers which wasn't too bad but I'm not sure if it's still playing now. Hairspray is the big show in town now but I haven't seen it yet.

A few to think about ...

Urinetown, despite its name, has received absolutely rave reviews.

If you like musicals and haven't seen them all, HairSpray is the newest but all the old standbys are equally amazing - Mama Mia is always a good choice.

We keep losing shows here because people talk about going to see them and then never do!!

My friend and I went to see the Mystery Dinner Theatre up Yonge St. It's humorous and if you like mysteries, you should consider it.

Thinking about taking her to "A Chorus Line" at the Stage West in Mississauga on my next visit.

Is Tina and Tony's wedding still playing, I had a ball at that one. More of a interactive Dinner theater than a show but a must see

Hi I attended The Opera last night and it was wonderful. It was called The Handmaid's Tale and its playing at The Hummingbird Center,I highly recommend it......

Hairspray is very good. I have also heard that there is a Queen tribute coming which is supposed to be excellent.

Yes , The Haindmaids Tale...by Atwood...says she was not for the Opera version. A strange movie....
Minx is quite the culture vulture...I f you looking for somone to go with...pm me...love the culture scene

Also on the topic of the Opera, I was at a recent performance of Lucia di Lammermoor. Well done! If you're into operas I'd recommend it. I think Boheme is playing in January.

If you want something a little different and in a smaller venue then Waiting for Godot at the Harbourfront Centre is pretty good. While it's not a play per se, I would recommend cirque du soliel down at Ont Place...quite a show.

Man, I can think of a better way to do that!

Diode, that indeed was one of the lines from the play... you've got quite the memory! LOL I'm not sure how much longer its playing, but I think Hamlet is being teed up next down at the Harbourfront theatre.
