Does anyone understand the psychology of this? Its so widely accepted. I can understand being in the closest and respect anyone's time they need to freely express their true self, but why be part of the "anti-group" Isn't that like walking backwards ?

It's not a gay thing...but I've had to make a dash out of a window when someone unexpectedly came home...fun times.
I read the result of a study years ago. They took a large group of men and had them answer questions on how they felt about homosexual males among other things. Then they divided them into two groups, those with pro-gay and anti-gay attitudes.
They then had the groups watch male porn while they were hooked up to several sensors, heart rate, perspiration and one to measure sexual arousal. Well guess what. The majority of the hate the gays group got turned on, while the group who didn't exhibit negative feelings towards them, didn't.
Good one... Not surprising after that study I mentioned.
